Edinburgh Southside Choir
We are the Edinburgh Southside Choir based in Edinburgh, Scotland - welcome to our website!
We are a mixed voice community choir of about sixty people - a diverse group from a wide age range. We sing a wide range of songs and hold three main concerts each year. We've also performed a few times in St Giles Cathedral, our "local" cathedral - visit our Concerts & events page to find out more. You can watch some of our performance videos on the Concerts & events page and on our YouTube channel.
We don't hold auditions and there is no need to be able to read music as practice soundtracks are provided. The choir includes people who have not sung for many years, if ever, as well as more experienced singers. New members welcome when rehearsals start in September or January.

Supporting others through our singing
Over the last few years, through concert donations, ticket sales and member subscriptions we have donated to charities including Maggies, Royal Blind School, Drake Music, Marie Curie, Alzheimer Scotland, Music in Hospitals Scotland, Cunningham House, a local short-stay supported hostel for homeless people and the St Giles Neighbourhood Group which also works with homeless people.
