How it all started...
The choir grew out of the Musical Director’s wish to start an adult choir in the local area. She enlisted the help of a few people who had attended and enjoyed her evening classes to assist with the groundwork. The choir held its first meeting in September 2010. From the 27 who attended on the first night, the choir has now grown to around 60 members. The weekly sessions, run by our Musical Director Seonaid Lynn, are uplifting & great fun.
We are also members of Making Music, the UK's number one organisation for voluntary music, which supports over 3000 voluntary and amateur music groups around the UK. www.makingmusic.org.uk
We always knew singing was good for the soul, turn out it's good for the body too! The New Scientist says so...and so does the Telegraph...!
